25th of December

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We drove down to Houston to join David's sisters and their families (later on joined by David's parents) to celebrate the birth of Christ. I cannot say it enough, but I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although we followed the traditions of Christmas (stockings, gifts from "Santa"), we focused on the true meaning of Christmas by remembering Him: His birth, His perfect example, the miracles He performed, and the Atonement. Let us strive to always become more like Him, whether it is Christmas or not.

What did Santa bring me, you ask? Well, "he" was nice enough to give me a camera. I tend to break everything I touch and my camera ( which I've had for the past five years) finally decided to end its life, so "Santa" was kind enough to give me a new one. Hope this camera has a longer life. Fingers crossed.

We visited Kemah Boardwalk in Houston. This is where David worked his first full-time job selling souvenirs. Guess how much he made? A whopping $5.50 an hour.

We also took a short trip down to Galveston, TX. Can I just say I am so grateful we ended up in Dallas (UT Southwestern) instead of Galveston. I'm confident to say UTMB is a great school but.... let's just say I like
 bigger cities.

Epic fail. Too funny I had to post.. We blame the wind.
Galveston beach.
A little bit better, right?

Hope everyone had a wonderful CHRISTMAS!
