David has been flying out all around the country (well, mostly Texas) for Medical School interviews. Soon though, he will be done with those interviews and he'll be all mine again. Well, that is until he starts attending Med School. Argargarg.. (Side note, who wouldn't want David at their school? All of those schools better accept my husband!!!)
Anyhow, what do you do when your hubby is away? I went all out on cleaning supplies thanks to Real Simple and Pinterest and stocked up our fridge. Nom nom nom.. Then, I drove down to Provo to see my dear friends Emily and Rebecca and my sister! After stuffing ourselves at Yamato, Em and I drove up to attend Women's Conference. Our church holds General Conference every six months in SLC. This is when all the church leaders including the Prophet of our church, President Thomas S. Monson and the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ give inspiring talks to remind us of our Savior and the covenants we made with Him. Also, what we need to do in order to return back to our Father in Heaven. Some pretty amazing stuff, if I do say so myself. (If you want to know more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, go to www.mormon.org )
Every year, there is a conference just for the women right before the week of General Conference. They remind how great we are whereas during Priesthood (conference for the brethren) they mostly chastise them. haha! (Did you know people actually hand out tissues for the women? They were nicely wrapped in pretty ribbons and all. And boy, everyone used them!) Our Relief Society leaders and the Apostles of Jesus Christ really know how to push our emotional buttons. The talks were so inspiring. During one of the talks, I started thinking about my Temple Sealing to David, the covenants we made and the life we will have together, for time and all eternity. David continuously motivates me to become a better person and the Gospel makes everything so worth it!
